Young Nigerian student and footballer stabbed to death in the UK

15 year old Nigerian schoolboy and footballer, Joel Adeshina was stabbed to death at Bethnal Green Road in East London on Friday night December 5th by a group of boys.

According to Scotland Yard police, Joel was on his way home with some of his friends when they were attacked by a gang who pursued them into an estate, managed to corner Joel and then stabbed him in the stomach. 

"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to Bethnal Green Road, E2, at 23:04hrs on Friday, 5 December. Officers attended and found a 15-year-old boy suffering from serious stab injuries to the abdomen. The boy was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital. He died in hospital at 02:12hrs on Saturday, 6 December.’ a Scotland Yard spokesperson  said

Manager of Joel's football team Bardag FC Yellows, Ricky Downes, said Joel, who was a winger,  was ‘as good as gold’ and talented enough to play professionally.

"To say that myself and the club are devastated is an understatement, we are absolutely in bits. Joel was a wonderful young lad who had the world at his feet. He was a very talented footballer and had ambitions of playing professionally. I think he had a future in the sport and could have played for a living. There was something about Joel that touched me and his death is totally unexpected. He never gave me any inkling that he was involved in gangs or anything like that. He was cheeky, bubbly, and a thoroughly likeable young man.’ he said

No one has so far been arrested for Joel's murder. MET Police say they are still investigating.

The Hip Hop World Awards popularly known as ‘The Headies’ is unarguably the biggest and most prestigious awards ceremony for music practitioners in Nigeria. It’s the ‘top of Pinnacle Rock’…the biggest recognition

 every upcoming and even established artiste in the country strives annually to obtain.

Since debuting in 2006, the award has grown into one of the most anticipated events year in year out in

 Nigeria’s entertainment calendar.

A production of Smooth Promotions led by Ayo Animashaun, the award was conceived as a means of 

rewarding artistes with genuine artistic talent in a developing music industry.

The Headies debuted on March 10, 2006 at the MUSON Centre Onikan, Lagos. Tagged ‘The revolution is 

here,’ the event was hosted by Darey Art Alade and left many spell bound by the sheer brilliance and

 glamour of the event.

It was reportedly the first time that an awards ceremony of international standard was organised in its entirety

 by Nigerians. Everything about the awards was a first; from the limousine rides, the red carpet, the stage,

 to the well choreographed and rehearsed performances.

The annual Headies ceremony features performances by established and promising artistes and it is

 broadcast live on Hip TV to television viewers across Nigeria. In 2006 and 2007, The Headies held at the

 Muson Centre in Onikan, Lagos State.

From 2010 through 2012, the awards event was held at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos

 while the ceremony moved to Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Several media personalities in Nigeria have hosted the annual ceremony, including Darey Art Alade, D’banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W, Rita Dominic, M.I, Tiwa Savage, and Dr Sid.

Biggest winners at The Headies:

Unknown to most music lovers in Nigeria, especially fans of the new generation stars like Wizkid, Olamide,

 Davido and others, the biggest winner at the awards since inception in 2006 is surprisingly

 Babatunde Olusegun Adewale, popularly known as Mode 9. With 9 awards, the rapper has won

 the ‘Lyricist on the Roll’ award a staggering 7 times as well as the Best Rap Album and Best Rap

 Single awards.

Following closely behind are P-Square, 2face Idibia and Wande Coal with 6 awards each. P-Square won the

 Best R&B/Pop Album (2), Album of the Year (2), Song of the Year and Artiste of the Year awards while

 2face Idibia has won the Best R&B/Pop Album (2), Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, Best Pop Single,

 Special Recognition Award awards over the years.

Wande Coal’s list of honours include the Next Rated, Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, Best R&B/Pop

 Album, Hip Hop World Revelation of the Year and Best Vocal Performance (Male).

Popular rapper, Jude Abaga a.k.a M.I has 5 Headies to his name, so does veteran music video producer and director, Jude Okoye and singer-cum-politician, Abolore Akande a.k.a 9ice.

Another set of 3 artistes with 4 Headies each include: D’banj, Asa and Darey Art Alade while Wizkid, Ice Prince,

 Olamide, Davido and Timaya complete the list of biggest winners at the awards ceremonies with 3 Headies

 apiece.

                                                Headies 2014 categories and likely winners:

When the Headies team released the list of nominees for this year’s award in September 2014,

 a few interesting match ups were released. The year in view spans the period of July 2013 to June 2014.

 acceptance of the songs and nominees in contention by the general public .

Below are the various categories with the nominees and the most likely winners of each award when the

 ceremony proper holds on December 14, 2014.

                                                          Best Recording of the Year

This is a non-voting category for the best single recording by an artiste or group in year under review.

 It has Timi Dakolo (‘Iyawo mi’), 2face Idibia (‘Let somebody love you’), Nosa (‘Always on my mind’), and 

Cobhams Asuquo (‘Ordinary people’) in contention.

This is a very tight category but by virtue of his immense popularity and status, 2face Idibia is most likely to

 bag this award.

                                                                 Producer of the Year

This award goes to an individual responsible for producing the most acclaimed song or album in the year

 under review. Nominees are Don Jazzy (‘Dorobucci’), Pheelz (‘Eleda mi o’), T Spize (‘Aye’), Legendury Beatz (‘Caro’), Shizzy (‘Skelewu’), and Del B (‘Pull over’).

These songs have all been tremendously successful since they were released but for this category,

 Mavins CEO, Don Jazzy might just beat everyone to the award.

                                                                   Best Music Video

A voting category for the best conceptualist, best directed and most exciting video in the year under review. 

This award goes to the video director and has the following nominees: Clarence Peters (‘Ada Ada’ by Flavour), Kemi Adetiba (‘Toh Bad’ by Niyola), Aje (‘Just like that’ by Rayce), Unlimited LA

 (‘Oya now’ by Joe El ft. Oritsefemi), and Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye and Clarence Peters (‘Personally’ by P-Square).

Clarence Peters seems to have an edge here and should bag the award based on the huge popularity

 of the song by Flavour and his involvement with Psquare’s ‘Personally’.

Best R’n’B/Pop Album

Nominees in this category are The Journey by Sean Tizzle, Takeover by Kcee, Once upon a Time by

 Tiwa Savage, Me, my mouth and Eye by Sound Sultan, and L.I.F.E by Burna Boy.

This seems to be a tight race mainly between Sean Tizzle, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy,

 but L.I.F.E by Burna Boy might just nip the award.

                                                                           Best R’n’B Single

A category for the Best R’n’B Single in year under review (by single individual or group). Nominees are ‘Let somebody love You’ by 2face Idibia, ‘Iyawo mi’ by Timi Dakolo, ‘Plan B’ by Wande Coal, and ‘Don Gordon’ by Burna Boy.

The major competitor with 2face Idibia here is Timi Dakolo. His song is more of Pop though, so 2face should win this.

                                                                           Best Pop Single

This has 7 nominees with ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavin Crew, ‘Aye’ by Davido, ‘Johnny’ by Yemi Alade, 

‘Pull over’ by Kcee, ‘Double Wahala’ by Oritsefemi, ‘Caro’ by Star Boy ft. Wizkid and ‘Surulere’ by Dr. Sid as contenders.

These songs are all hot bangers but the eventually it might be between ‘Dorobucci’, ‘Johnny’, ‘Aye’ and

 ‘Caro’. From indications, the night might just belong to Davido’s ‘Aye’.

                                                               Best Reggae/Dancehall Single

Nominees are ‘Girlie O remix’ by Patoranking, ‘Lead me on’ by Cynthia Morgan, ‘Stinking Sh#t’ by Chopstix ft. Ice Prince, Yung L and Endia, ‘Bad girl’ by Jesse Jagz ft. Wizkid, and ‘Murda’ by Seyi Shay ft. Patoranking and Shaydee.

‘Girlie O remix’ is the clear favourite for this award while Jesse Jagz’s ‘Bad girl’ also stands strong.

                                                                       Best Rap Album

A non-voting category for the best album by a rap artiste or group in year under review. Nominees are No guts no Glory by Phyno, Alaga Ibile by Reminisce, Baddest guy ever Liveth by Olamide and Thy nation Come by Jesse Jagz.

This category is a tight contest between No guts no Glory and Baddest guy ever Liveth but Olamide

 might come out tops.

                                                                           Best Collabo

This category has ‘Oya now’ by Joe El ft. Oritsefemi, ‘Emergency’ by Wizzy Pro ft. Skales, Patoranking

 and Runtown, ‘Surulere’ by Dr. Sid and Don Jazzy, ‘Pass you By’ by Black Magic ft. Oritsefemi,

 ‘Girlie O remix’ by Patoranking, and ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavins.

Votes in this category is most likely going to swing in favour of ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavins.

                                                                          Best Rap Single

A voting category for a single (released on-air) recording of a rap song. The nominees here are ‘Parcel’ by Phyno, ‘Dope Money’ by Olamide ft. Phyno, ‘Shotz on Shots’ by Ice Prince ft. Sarkodie, ‘Rap it up’ by Posly TD, ‘Deaf’ by Eva Alordiah, and ‘WTF’ by Ill Bliss.

Votes here will most likely to go in Ice Prince’s favour so ‘Shotz on Shots’ should win this.

                                                Best Vocal Performance (Male)

Timi Dakolo (‘Iyawo mi’), Oritsefemi (‘Double Wahala’), Nosa (‘Why you love me’) and Cobhams

 (‘Ordinary people’) are the nominees in this category.

This non-voting category is most likely going to swing in Timi Dakolo’s favour.

                                                   Best Vocal Performance (FEMALE)

This category has Niyola ft. Banky W (‘Love to love you’), Tiwa Savage (‘Wanted’), Monica Ogah (‘Window’),

 and Ruby (‘Good man’) vying for the single female artiste with most outstanding vocal performances on a

 single song or album.

Surprisingly, Omawunmi’s ‘Magbele’ is not among the nominees in this category this year so Tiwa Savage

 seems to be home and dry with this one.

This category is a voting category for the most promising upcoming officially unreleased (or signed) act in

 the year under review.

One of the most coveted awards at the annual ceremony since it was created; this category has Patoranking, Runtown, Orezi, Skales and Yemi Alade.

This year’s award is between Orezi, Yemi Alade, and Patoranking. By virtue of votes, the winner is most likely

 going to be Yemi Alade.

                                                                  Hip Hop World Revelation

A voting category for the best new artiste in the year under review, and the nominees are Tiwa Savage 

(Once upon a time), Sean Tizzle (The journey), Burna Boy (L.I.F.E), and Kcee (Take over).

The votes in this category look most likely to swing in Sean Tizzle’s favour.

                                                                        Lyricist on the Roll

A non-voting category for the Rap Artiste with the best lyrical depth and performance on a single song or album. 

The ‘traditional’ winner of this category with over 7 awards to his name, Mode 9 is not nominated this year.

Nominees are Ice Prince (‘Shots on shots’), Posly TD (‘Rap it up’), Jesse Jagz (‘God on the mic’), and Yung 6ix (‘Kpansh’). This year seems to be between Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince and the award is most likely going

 to be Ice Prince’s this year. 

                                                         Best Street-Hop Artiste

This category is for artistes whose songs are street-inspired and are themed with lingua popular on 

the street which may also be originated by the artiste.

Nominees are ‘Double Wahala’ by Oritsefemi, ‘Shoki’ by Lil’ Kesh, ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavin, and

 ‘Alobam’ by Phyno. The award most likely belongs to Oritsefemi.

                                                        Best ‘Alternative’ Song

A voting category for the artiste whose songs reflect any form or style of music which falls outside the

 mainstream of recent or past popular musical trends.

‘Bolaji’ by BOJ, ‘Body’ by Black Magic ft. Banky W, ‘Good Man’ by Ruby, and ‘Why you love Me’ by Nosa 

are the nominees for this award, and it looks like a contest between Black Magic and Nosa majorly. 

The latter (Nosa) is most likely to win this though. 

                                               Album of the Year

The criteria for awarding this category is based on excellence in songwriting, production, rendition and

 promotion, as well as acceptability, sales and popularity of the album within the year of review.

Nominees are The Journey by Sean Tizzle, L.I.F.E by Burna Boy, Baddest guy ever Liveth by Olamide,

 and No guts No glory by Phyno. This award would have easily been Olamide’s but from indications, 

The Journey by Sean Tizzle will most likely win.

                                                                   Song of the Year

A voting category for the most popular song in the year under review. This category is usually decided 

by voting and the nominees are ‘Aye’ by Davido, ‘Pull over’ by Kcee, ‘Double Wahala’ by Oritsefemi,

 ‘Surulere’ by Dr. Sid, ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavins, and ‘Johnny’ by Yemi Alade.

The clear favourites in this category are ‘Aye’ by Davido and ‘Dorobucci’ by Mavins. This is another 

award Davido should be able to pick up on the night in spite of the stiff competition from the Mavins.

                                                                ‘Artiste of the Year’

This is the most successful artiste overall and also the most critically and commercially adjudged artiste 

in the year under review.

The 7 nominees for this award are Davido, Wizkid, Kcee, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Phyno, and Flavour. 

This award is most likely Davido’s as he’s had quite a remarkable year.

                                                                     Best African Artiste

This is a non-Nigerian award category for an individual African artiste with the most outstanding single/album, astonishing achievements and infiltration into Nigeria in year under review.

The nominees this year are Mafikizolo, Sarkodie, Diamondz, and R2Bees. Without a doubt, the most likely

 winner in this category is the dynamic South African duo, Mafikizolo although Diamondz also stands strong

 on this one.

SHOCKING!!!! A VILLAGE THAT EAT HUMAN MEAT + PICTURES

When I found this story I personally did not believe it until I saw the pictures of a village which eat human being meat and it has been discovered that the village is in Thailand.
Though, there have been rumors about some cannibalism in some part of the country of Thailand but no one believe until this story with pictures went viral. so if you don’t know now you know that Cannibalism still exist.

As you can see from the images below, that some of the villages even a policeman taking their own piece of HUMAN meat after killing the person.
Though, there has been no information about how the person was killed or what happened but from the picture you will notice that the people cutting the human are relax and cool, so it does not look like a crime.

Just imagine! 30-year-old woman who has been denied action on bed by her husband has begged the court to dissolve her marriage of 18 years to her husband.

The woman, simply identified as Toyin, who works as a nurse at a traditional hospital, told an Ikorodu Customary Court to end her union with one Olive Omoletu. She explained that the man has not performed his duty on bed for the past nine years.

The woman said her husband had always complained of tiredness to escape her overtures. “Since we had our last son, my husband has refused to perform his $exual duty.

I would have left him since but he was always seeking my mother’s intervention. Not quite long, I discovered that someone placed a thunderbolt (in local parlance – magun) on me, but I was helped by a traditionalist.

“He also consumes too much of alcohol drinks and very hostile to me and my children. I beg this court for instant dissolution of this marriage to enable me to move on with my life”, Toyin, who resides at Hassan Street, Majidun area of Ikorodu, pleaded. Meanwhile, the 46-year old husband, who is a welder, also begged for a possible reconciliation.

”Please help me beg my wife, I will make amends, I do not want her to leave me,” he pleaded. After listening to both parties, the President of the court, Mr T.K. Dabor, ruled that the couple should go their separate ways as the marriage had broken down irretrievably.

He granted the custody of the children to Toyin pending the outcome of the family court’s ruling. Dabor ordered the husband to pay a monthly upkeep allowance of N15, 000 for the three children of the marriage and that he should have free access to them.

Video of Indian sisters beating up men who harrassed them on bus goes viral

A video of two sisters beating up three men, who they claim sexually harassed them on a moving bus in India, has gone viral on social media. The sisters, who were on their way home from school on Friday November 28th in the northern state of Haryana, claimed the three men began harassing them, passing sexual remarks at them.

They first objected but as the men continued to harass them, one going as far as touching the girls inappropriately, one of the girls removed her belt and started beating the men...the other girl joined with her fist. Another passenger filmed the whole incident on his mobile and uploaded it on Youtube.

The girls, 22-year-old Aarti and 19-year-old Pooja, later spoke to BBC Hindi about the incident;

"The men started to abuse me and touch me. I told them 'if you touch me again, you'll get beaten up'. They called a friend on the phone and told him to 'come over because we have to beat up some girls'," Pooja said.

The girls said they decided to take on their attackers when other passengers on the bus did not come to their help.

"No one came forward in the bus to help us. So we took out our belts in self-defence [and hit the men]. If only the other passengers had helped us, we would not have needed to retaliate in this way," she said.

The sisters said the men pushed them out of the bus when it came to a halt after some distance and attacked them again. They said they retaliated by throwing stones at the men who then finally left them alone.
